10 Health Posts to Conquer your New Year’s Resolutions

10-health-posts-to-conquer-your-new-years-resolutionsHow many times have you made the same resolution to “eat right”, “get fit” and “get healthy”? Get relief from typical New Year’s resolution woes with these 10 health posts.

It’s that magical time of year again. The oops-I-did-it-again-and-had-a-holiday-eating-binge time of year. The time-to-get-serious-again season. Yes, it is the time to select (re-select?) the infamous New Year’s Resolution!

Not surprisingly, the top picks for resolutions year after year include some facet of health, such as getting fit, eating healthy, quitting smoking, or getting more sleep. You can check out which made the top 5 list in 2016, according to ABC. Or, you could look at the list that really matters. According to Time, these are the top 10 commonly broken New Year’s resolutions.

I am not sure who decided that the dead of winter is THE BEST time to eat more produce, drive through blizzards to get to the gym, or somehow get energized enough to get off the couch. You can read my thoughts on winter resolutions here (you might even get a giggle or two).

Not to mention the marketing wonder words that keep springing up, like “New Year, New You”. Um, what’s so wrong with the “Old You”? As if you are a completely lost cause who is beyond redeeming, and unless you completely rehaul your entire BODY, you are not worthy to kiss the #fitspo pictures you pin on Pinterest (hey, pin some yummy recipes or gym-free fitness with me)

(Read to the bottom of this post for my solution to the common resolution- the “anti-resolution”)

All of that aside, I AM a health coach, and I should support my clients where they are today. Therefore, I collected all of the BEST resources I have to offer to help you achieve your boldest New Year’s resolution. All in one lovely place.

By the way, you probably noticed that my videos are on both Facebook and Youtube. Yeah, organization is one of my goals (not resolutions) for 2017. However, if you LOVE these videos, the best way to get access to ALL of them is to subscribe to my Youtube channel.

Otherwise, you could join me for Livestream Fridays in Weight no More, where I will answer your questions live in living color.

It has been a pleasure dishing up healthy eating bites, flexing your gym-free fitness, and strengthening your mental motivation to achieve body bliss. What more can you expect in 2017?

One of the biggest problems that my private health coaching clients has is NOT their ability to choose healthier foods or stay consistent with exercising. No, their biggest struggle has to do with feeling CONFIDENT. Not just confident in their current body, but also confident that they have the innate power to totally transform their health.

This is what I call the anti-resolution. After all, acknowledging your own power suddenly makes eating healthier and exercising consistently a choice, and not a chore. Your health no longer is a to-do item, but an expectation.

How would that change your life- if your health became an expectation, instead of a to-do item?

I never thought I could lose 100 pounds over 18 years ago, until it was done. However, it took a year and a whole LOT of plateaus, shifts and struggle to get there for me. As a health coach, my privilege is to make the entire process of body bliss easier and more accessible to all.

And, it starts with confidence. I created a FREE 5-day challenge to help folks like you increase self-confidence, eat for energy, put the fun in fitness, create awareness around daily habits and explore their inner motivation to change.

I call it 5 Days to Body Bliss, and I invite you to join. This challenge is delivered via email over the course of 5 days, and includes daily homework that you share in a closed Facebook group. Some of my VIPs even started the challenge, and have made big shifts already!

  1. Thank you Jenn for sharing these to us! It is always the resolution of many to become healthier and fitter every time new year comes. Although not everyone can stick to the plan the whole year. Good thing that you were able to share with us the resources you’ve got so we can become more inspired in journeying to our healthier lifestyle goals.
