This month is all about September Success! During September, I will feature amazing women of all ages and stages of life who escaped obesity to achieve weight loss success. While there are many ways to lose weight, it all starts with YOU.

Today’s success story comes from Marjorie Krueger. I met Marjorie on Facebook, where she blew me away with her 200-pound weight loss and positive attitude.

Q: What triggered you to lose weight?

There were so many triggers along this weight loss journey of mine. Health was a big one. I suffered from congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and diabetes. I also wanted to get into a smaller dress to celebrate the marriage of two of my children. Finally, I wanted to play with my grandchildren, walk without pain, and be able to bend over to tie my shoes.

I just wanted to live life with no restrictions.

Q: How did you lose it?

I have lost weight so many times in so many ways, including Optifast, Weight loss Clinics, Weight Watchers, Tops, Diet Doctors, and Jenny Craig (3 times). I was always searching for someone else to handle it for me.

I realize now that I am the only one that can do it for me.

The last time I lost weight was at Fitness Ridge in Utah. They have taught me, it is not all about the number on the scale. I have learned so much about Margie and how to be the best possible version of myself.

Q: Share a story of one of your biggest milestones.

One of the biggest milestones I have achieved is regaining my health. I have resolved congestive heart failure, diabetes, high blood pressure and other medical issues through eating healthier and exercising more.

All my numbers today are normal. Even more, my numbers are all wonderful!

Q: How did you stay motivated when you had a setback?

I stay motivated by surrounding myself with people who are also on the quest of Health and Wellness. We are there for each other. We understand each other. We share things like going to the gym, keeping things simple, reaching out, and asking for help. I am a girl that needs a connection.

I will not hide when things start going in the wrong direction.

I am not yet to my goal weight. I don’t have a number on the scale in mind. I will know when I get there. I will feel it.
