September Success: Meet Stacy Klone

Stacy Klone September Success

Welcome to September Success, a month of inspirational weight loss success stories from real women like you.

Last week we met Amy Lanci, a holistic health coach who reversed fatty liver disease and found her true love at the same time. The previous week, we met Mariana Ruiz, a business coach and supermom who lost 80 pounds with two young children at home while building her business.

The best part about achieving body bliss is it is NEVER too late! Weight loss success does not depend upon your age, your ability, your previous experiences with diets, or even your income level. Whether you have always struggled with your weight, or decided that you would wait until your kids are grown and out of the house before focusing on your own health, take heart from Stacy’s unique story.

Stacy Klone dropped from a size 28 to a size 14 and has maintained a weight loss of 162 pounds! Now, she shares her passion for living a healthier lifestyle as a Kind ambassador who offers simple and inspiring ways to get more out of your grocery shopping for maximum taste and efficiency.

What triggered you to lose weight?

At the time, I weighed over 300 pounds and was not able to do all that I wanted to do.

How did you lose it?

I had gastric bypass in December 2000,  and spent the years after that changing my diet and exercise. Two years post-surgery, I had lost over 150 pounds. The following year I gained another 45 pounds, so I decided to join Minnesota-based Lifetime Fitness. Then, I was able to not only return to my post-surgery weight, but also maintain it.

Share a story of one of your biggest milestones
I bumped my arm into my hip and was startled to realize that it was my hip bone sticking out. It still brings a smile to my face just thinking about it!
How did you stay motivated when you had a setback?
One way I challenge myself is by walking a 5K or biking with my friends in a triathlon. These activities keep my head in the game and give me a reason to workout (even when I don’t feel like it!)
How do you feel this has changed you?
I want to enjoy doing fun things with others. In my opinion, the only thing that matters is getting together with family and friends. I love to cook and share time-saving tips on how to prepare tasty food. The marketing companies have just trained us into thinking that healthy food is hard to make. I keep it simple and inspiring along the way.

  1. Love this! Very inspirational! So often we only hear the ‘fail’ stories, not the ‘success’ stories like this one! Really enjoy this site 🙂
