You just lost 100 pounds. Like me.
You learn a lot while losing 100 pounds. There’s the excitement of a new plan, the joy of reaching benchmarks, and the satisfaction of success. Plan, benchmarks, and success. Are we still talking about weight?
There is no difference between losing weight and starting a new company! This article will provide one tip you can take to either start a weight loss plan or a business.
Let’s get started. That’s your first tip. Just get started already!
In order to start, you need a plan. Even if your plan is not completely fireproof, you still need to take that first step.
When I committed to a weight loss plan, I was morbidly obese. My plan was not to get skinny. My plan was to write down everything I ate in a journal. Not too complicated, is it? Twelve years later, I have maintained a total weight loss of 100 pounds.
My plan was not to become a nationally known weight loss success story. Last December, I was featured in First for Women magazine. First for Women magazine has over 4 million readers in the United States.
What about on the business side? My plan was to take a SpeakerBiz Institute Exploratory course, and decide whether entrepreneurship was for me. To me, entrepreneurship was a scary idea, so I was hesitant to commit.
Less than a year later, I have business cards, marketing materials, a website and a blog. Entrepreneurship is no longer scary. It is a reality.
What is your first step? Write it down.
